The first London Championship Show was held at Alexandra Palace on 31st October and 1st November 1969. Best Non Self and Best Adult Cavy was young Pete Holdaway's Silver Agouti boar "Rodent".

Surrey County Show - June 1969; this was a good warm-up for Pete Holdaway's impressive boar "Rodent" when winning Best Non Self and Runner-up Best in Show.
